Easter Table Ideas

I love Easter.  It's my favorite holiday and I always start planning for it early.  I have so many cherished Easter memories with my hubby and kids.  Hard to believe how time flies.  This year I wanted to create something fun and special to celebrate Easter and I am thrilled to be able to share it with you.  Yes, I know it isn't even Valentine's Day yet but Easter is in March this year, so it will be here before you know it.  :) I created these egg shaped mini bread board sets just for Easter and I am so proud of them.  They are made from a special type of walnut that my hubby gets that I just love because of the beautiful shade of color through it......kinda like Easter eggs.  :) For our table, I always like to use white dishes because that's my favorite but I also wanted to add a splash of Easter color so I picked up these lovely blue pasta bowls at Crate and Barrel.  They were a splurge for me but I couldn't resist and we eat a lot of pas...

Engraved Bread Boards For You

Image
Hey there!  I hope you are all having a good day. I was so excited after reading the comments on this post because thanks to readers Michelle and Marci, I learned what these were. My hubby found just these few in a storage shed he bought the contents of.   So, because of their help, I was able to purchase a full set. Which means that now I can engrave my bread boards!  Yay!  I'm so excited about doing this because I think being able to personalize them for you makes them extra special. I practiced on a few to show you how they look.  The letters punched are 1/4 inch and  fit the side of the board perfectly.  Engraving will only be done on one side. Here's a look at how they look on the maple and walnut boards. I just used the word EAT as an example.  You can have anything put on the boards that you'd like, up to 10 characters.  For FREE.  There will be no extra charge for adding the engraving to the side of the board. We came acro...

Mini French Inspired Bread Board Set

Image
Happy Monday everyone!  Did you have a good weekend?  We experienced our first earthquake Saturday night and let me just say, I'm not a fan.  Hubby slept through it but our boys were a little unsettled, as was I.   Pretty sure I'd rather poke my own eye with a stick than experience one again. :) Anyway, I'm so excited to show you a few new bread boards that I've been working on that are now available in my shop !  I have always admired french cheese boards but they are always out of my price range.  So I decided to come up with a set of mini bread boards that are inspired by my favorites.  I'm crazy about these and I hope you will love them as much as I do.  I also decided to add a large maple bread board to my shop.  I've started purchasing my maple from the same supplier that I purchase my walnut and I think the wood is just gorgeous.  I couldn't be more happy with it.  The colors running through...

Thanksgiving Table Setting Ideas

Image
Hey there!  Decorating the table for Thanksgiving dinner with my family is one of my favorite things to do.  It's a time we are all able to come together as a complete family to share a meal and be thankful for our many blessings, so I like to make it special, so, they will feel special.  I know it's a little early but as I was taking photos of my new bread boards, I was inspired, so I went with it and wanted to share some simple, inexpensive ideas with you.  I'm certainly not an expert, but these are some ideas I have fun with and maybe you will find them helpful. For a simple rustic table runner, try a coffee grain sack.  I love the natural feel and warmth it brings to the table and I'm giving away 5 of them!  Details coming soon...... Vintage serving flatware pieces are a charming addition, as well.  You can find these all the time at tag sales and flea markets and they aren't very expensive. For napkins, I like to use something simple and pretty to...
