Karen Burniston / Riley and Company 'Crazy Cat Lady' Pop Up Card

Image
I just wanted to share this slightly daft card I made using some dies from Karen Burniston. I used the Cupcake Pop-Up die set for the pop-up mechanism, to which I attached a stamp which I love, from Riley and Company. I used the Tim Holtz Stamp Platform for my stamping, and also stamped onto patterned paper and did some fussy cutting for the woman's dress. I printed out the sentiment from my computer. I added some cats from one of Karen's new releases - the Cat and Dog set, and accessorised them using dies from another of her new releases - the Tiny Accessories 1 set! The patterned papers are from Authentique's 'Fabulous' 6x6 pad, and the scalloped edge die is from the Sizzix Triple Circle Flip-its die set. Additional product links:

Sizzix & Cricut Pop-Up Tractor Christening Card

Image
This probably isn't your typical Christening card, but I was asked to make it by my farmer friend who's friends have decided to have their little boy Christened. I used the Sizzix Pop n Cuts Horizontal A2 Card with Circle Label for the base, and a tractor from the Cricut Boys Will Be Boys cartridge. For the background I used Papertrey Ink clouds, sun from L'il Inkers, and the stitched hills and cloud layer from Karen Burniston's Nature Edges die set . I printed out the sentiment and used some Sizzix Framelits for the sentiment layers.

Karen Burniston Tag Book Pop-Up Cupcake Birthday Card

Image
Karen Burniston's new Autumn 2017 Mini Release is now available! It includes a great Tag Book Pop-up die set , which I used for this card. The set comes with loads of lovely decorator dies, such as the tags, bunting flags, hole reinforcers, frames, hearts and paper clips. I also used some cupcake dies from Karen's Cupcake Pop-up die set , and a stamp from Stampin' Up's Cupcake Party. I used the Tim Holtz Stamping Platform, and used the stamp in two halves. You can see the card design better here. In spite of looking quite complex, it's actually quite simple to put together. I repeated the theme of the card on the front.

Karen Burniston November Design Team Challenge - Gingerbread House Christmas Card

Image
It's Karen Burniston's Design Team Challenge time again, and this month the theme is 'Gingerbread'!! I've made a few gingerbread house cards over the years, because I love them, and I just couldn't resist this time either! Karen has the most beautiful House & Fence Pop-up die set  which I used for this card.  I used craft card stock, sponged with Tea Dye Distress Ink and 'iced' with White Opal Liquid Pearls, for most of the decorative elements. The patterned paper is from First Edition's Christmas Wishes 12x12 pad. I covered the floating floor with white glitter card, added borders to the top and bottom of the card, and used a die from the Katherine Label Pop-up die set , for the sentiment backing. The larger heart is also from this set. The 'Merry Christmas' is from the Word Set 3 - Holiday die set. I also added bows to the fence, adapted from the Birthday Charms die set , and a little gingerbread man and trees from the Winter Charms di

Sizzix Animal Portraits Part 3 - Cat Oval Flip-its Hello Card

Image
This is the third card which I made in this set...  I used the  Flip-its Scallop Oval Card die set , along with the cat, this time, from Sizzix's 'Animal Portraits' Thinlits die set. I used loads of foam pads for dimension, hand cut the bunting flags, and used Reverse Confetti's 'Hello' die. The background papers were from a Stampin' up pad, and  the stripey cat paper was from a My Favorite Things 6x6 pad. And here's the full set! Products Used:

Twist Panel Pop-Up 'A World of Thanks' Card

Image
This card has such a fun mechanism, created by the Twist Panel Pop-up die set . Even my kids were impressed with how all of this emerges from a a folded card! It's also a lot simpler to make than it might look. Loads of dies come in this set, including layers for decorating the pop-out parts, hearts, tags and bunting. I used 12x12 papers from My Mind's Eye Jubilee Tangerine range, plus brads from the same range. I used Tim Holtz 'Simple Sayings' stamps, and his Movers and Shakers Vintage Globe die, which I used with the Movers and Shapers Base Tray. Here's the card partially closed, so you can see how the mechanism folds everything up when the card closes. I decorated the top and bottom of the card with turquoise cardstock cut with a circle punch, to create scalloped edges. For the main sentiment, I used a Concord and 9th 'Globe Greetings' stamp, and Karen Burniston's  Word Set 1: Greetings die set. Product links:

Karen Burniston Cupcake Pop-up Birthday Card

Image
I made this card for one of my best friends' daughter's sixth birthday this week, using Karen Burniston's Cupcake Pop-up Die set .  I used a Paper Smooches stamp, and Neat and Tangled's 'Journaling Alphas' dies for the name. All the papers are from Basic Grey's 'Fresh Cut' 6x6 pad. For the card front, I used the little cupcake dies from the same Cupcake Pop-up Die Set, and a label to write a message in, from the Katherine Label Pop-up Die Set. I used Stampin' Up ribbon, ink and scalloped border punch. Other products used:
